Nagate runs from his cockpit, nearly running over a mechanic in his haste to reach the medical crew with Izana. Spinning in place, he calls out "Sorry," before continuing his run. Sidonia is safe, thanks to Tsumugi blocking the first blast of the gauna Heigus Partical canon, and then his successful destroying of it with his booster back, but that really isn't registering right now.
Izana was in trouble. His first friend and his truest friend. He couldn't lose them!
Finally, he's there and he calls out for them to wait, to please give him a moment, which they allow. He looks at Izana on the crash cart and they look almost wraithlike. Then he looks at the medical screen, but he can't make much sense of it beyond all the flashing red.
Izana opens her eyes then, and in a weak, slurred voice asks, "Tsumugi?"
"She's alive and will be okay," he promises, though he's not sure how he knows. Izana fades off again and the medical technician says they need to go. "Yes...sorry," Nagate says lost and not knowing what else to do.
